Potters Field Orphanage - El Salvador Day 4

There have been two huge lessons that the Lord has been laying on all of our hearts for the entire trip so far.

One, to be humbled, not only by our surroundings and the people we interact with, but with what the Lord is doing here with the children, and even within ourselves.

Two, look to the Lord for everything, and most importantly, pray to the Lord for everything, from a lost wallet, to a terminally ill child in the hospital. The Lord will answer all prayers in His time. This bringz you patience and the will to wait on the Lord through all things.

What a blessing today was. We went to National Hospital, a children’s hospital here in El Salvador, which is basically the only hospital here. Visiting the children in dialysis, the terminally ill, and the children waiting for kidney transplants, was such an uplifting experience. Spending the time with them, ministering to them, doing crafts, taking their pictures, making balloon animals, face painting and blowing bubbles, it was such a blessing to see their smiling faces. Some of these children have the most incredible testimonies, even at such a young age, you just can’t help but think about how great our God is! Although it was sad to see the children spending their time, and some of them the rest of their lives in the hospital, we know that God’s ways are so much higher. We will continue to pray for these precious children of God, and we ask that you keep them in your prayers as well.

We are confident that the Lord will continue to work through each one of us for the people here in El Salvador. To see the works He has already done, big and small, we know that the Lord has so much more planned for the people here. Keep us in prayer as we continue our week here, and we’ll keep the praise reports coming!
