Potters Field Orphanage - El Salvador Day 6

La Angustora is a place that I believe will be in our team's heat's forever. The story of the Pastor's life and how the church was built is an incredible, inspirational, miraculous story. (I will be sure to post his story in another blog, which is a definite must read for any Christian!) This church is not yet a standing church yet. They conduct services outside under trees in the shade, because they do not yet have a standing building to worship in. It's incredible to me how people would come to hear the Pastor preach under a tree. Would you do that to hear God's word? Are you that hungry for the Word of God? These people are so in love with the Lord, that they are willing to do absolutely anything to serve him.

The church has no drainage system, which is where we came in today. They were fortunate enough to have the equipment needed to build the trench for the drainage system, it was our job to lay the pipes and fill it in. This was a true stretch for all of us. It was hard work, but it was all for the Lord. There is nothing more gratifying than to know that you have pleased your Lord in some way. Filling in a hole with dirt may be such a small thing to us, but it is a huge thing to our God. We are assisting alongside a family that's on a mission, to build this awesome church to worship.

Later on when the day's work was done, we were invited into the Pastor's home, something that is not frequently done in El Salvador. This was a huge blessing, especially since we were able to meet his family and learn about them. What a huge blessing this day was! The Lord is going to be an incredible work in this place! We are so excited to see where the Lord leads.
